A Note on Recipients: Because these beautiful collections are often sent as unexpected gifts, we highly recommend notifying your recipient that a special package is on the way so they know to safely welcome the delivery driver! Please ensure your shipping address is correct and that someone is available to receive the package. If a delivery is refused or goes unclaimed, it will not be returned to us. Because we do not receive these packages back, we cannot issue refunds, store credits, or re-shipments for any refused or abandoned orders.

Transit Timelines: Please allow 3 to 5 weeks for standard international deliveries. Because your heirlooms travel through global hubs, transit times can vary depending on local customs processing. We cannot control any delays that occur. Please contact the carrier with your tracking number for more information.

The Final Mile Hand off: Once your package enters the destination country, it is safely handed over to the national postal service (such as India Post, Royal Mail, or Australia Post) for local delivery. International orders may be subject to local import duties, taxes, or VAT once a shipment reaches its destination country. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Our Story is not responsible for, and cannot predict, any additional fees applied to your delivery.

Flat Keepsakes vs. Heirloom Boxes: Individual story cards shipped in flat mailers are typically slipped directly into a standard mailbox or gate slot. Larger heirloom boxes usually require a delivery carrier to coordinate a face-to-face handover.

Your loved one receives a premium, hand-sealed envelope. Inside is a thick, archival photocard featuring your photo and your update. For our annual collection, your loved one receives a keepsake box for the cards.

We fully stand behind our happy tears promise. If your recipient is not deeply moved by their very first delivery, you can cancel your subscription within thirty days of purchase by emailing our studio for a refund of the remaining eleven months. Your recipients are welcome to keep their custom keepsake wooden boxes and first cards with our compliments. This policy applies to both our Annual Collection and our Give Two bundle. Please note that cancelling the Give Two bundle will end the shipments for both recipients, as the package cannot be partially split or cancelled. Finally, the single month Try It plan is non refundable once shipped, and our twelve month packages cannot be cancelled after the initial thirty day window has passed.

We send a gentle monthly invitation – not a deadline. Life happens. If you genuinely can’t that month, send a single photo with a few words; we’ll make it beautiful. The ritual is more forgiving than it sounds, and showing up imperfectly is still showing up. While we can’t pause your month, you are welcome to skip a month.

This is totally up to you. Some of customers take 5 minutes, while others like to take a moment to sit and write a heartfelt story. Don’t worry, we provide prompts if you get stuck.
